Natural Animal Therapies

The North Albury Herbal Centre also has services to provide health care for Domestic Pets and now Equine Treatment. Herbal and Homeopthic medicine can give great results to animals as well as humans. Shirley Wickham and Nicole Heenan who are quaified in this particular area, can help you with your pets or horses.
A large number of herbal and homeopathic remedies are available for general health problems that your pets or horses may experience. These therapies are complementary to your veterinary care and are safe and an inexpensive way of assisting your pet or horse to achieve good health.

When horses used to roam wild unrestricted by our fences, they had access to a wide variety of pasture, trees, shrubs and soils. They foraged for the plants that would provide them with the nutrients they required and the freshest grasses.
Some domesticated horses of today have exchanged the natural relative tastes of the past for the artifical tastes of pellets and mixes offered by their owners. However, most horses will choose to eat a variety of plants if they are available. This enables them to eat what grasses are needed for optimal health.

Feeding horses herbs or foods that are needed to meet specific requirements may not be readily available as an alternative.

As the North Albury Herbal Centre, Nicole and Shirley are able to offer advice on natural feeding, herbal treatments, homeopathic remedies, Bach Flower remedies and a range of other alternative management practices which help you to care for your horse in a non-invasive and a more natural way. Feeding, health or behavioral issues are some of the problems addressed regularly at the clinic. However, we are happy to help you with any questions you may have concerning the welfare of your horse.
